News on legal holidays
Law no. 220/2016 for the amendment of art. 139 (1) of Law no. 53/2003 – Labor Code was published within the Official Gazette no. 931 from November 18, 2016.
According to the new legal provisions, June 1, the Children’s Day, was declared legal holiday, being added to the list of non-working days, provided in this respect by the Romanian Labour Code within Article 139.
News on meal voucher’s value
Law no. 218/2016 for the amendment of art. 3 (1) of Law no. 142/1998 regarding meal vouchers was published within the Official Gazette no. 931 from November 18, 2016.
According to the new legal provisions, the maximum value of a meal voucher granted to the employees is RON 15.
The law will come into force on December 1st, 2016.
