25.05.2022 – Latest news in the labor law field regarding the most recent developments with respect to the General Registry of Employees (REVISAL)
The Law no. 144/20.05.2022 for the amendment and completion of art. 34 of Law no. 53/2003 – the Labour Cod was published in the Official Gazette no. 502 of May 23, 2022.
The new legal provisions establish that the level and specialization of employee’s studies shall be included among the identification elements that are transmitted, according to the law, in the General Registry of Employees (REVISAL).
In addition, the new law establishes that the General registry of employees must be accessible online for employees/former employees, so that they have the right to view, download and print the relevant data concerning them.
Employees/former employees will also be able to generate online and download an excerpt REVISAL, this serving as a manner of proving their seniority in work and/or specialty.
Aspects such as the concrete conditions and the procedure regarding employees’ access to REVISAL, the manner of accessing and downloading of the specific excerpt from REVISAL and the conditions under which it will be possible to prove seniority with it will be established by Government decision.
