Tax Flash No. 3/2019 – ANAF has launched operation “Iceberg”
The Communication, Public Relations and Mass Media department within the National Agency of Fiscal Administration notified through Press Release A_RPC 82/23.01.2019 that ANAF has launched operation “Iceberg”
Operation Iceberg entails the intensification of tax audits performed on large taxpayers, which carry out activities with significant impact from all economic areas, throughout the year 2019.
The main scrutiny areas are:
- fighting the profit outsourcing phenomenon;
- verifying the manner in which large companies manage economic relationships between companies from their own group; and
- dissolution of trading chains organized with the view of avoidance of the compliance with tax obligations by identifying and investigating fiscal fraud phenomena having significant negative fiscal implications on the state budget.
