Cosmina Simion – speaker at the World Regulatory Briefing Eastern Europe – iGaming
On November 3rd, 2016, Clarion Events organized the WrB Eastern Europe iGaming conference in Warsaw, Poland.
Cosmina Simion was a speaker on the panel “Market opportunities in the flourishing Romanian online sector: A year post regulation” that addressed topics related to the current state of the domestic gaming industry, including:
- Lessons learned from the Romanian regulatory environment
- Market opportunities and conditions that have emerged a year post regulation
- Key advice and trend analysis for companies looking to operate in Romania
- Key growth channels
The panel included, among others, Mrs. Odeta Nestor, President of the Romanian National Gambling Office and was moderated by Mr. Dan Iliovici, Executive Director, Rombet.
The other panels focused on topics related to the black market activity and measures to eradicate it; understanding the proposed regulatory framework for online gambling and the future of sports betting across the region as well as the market opportunities and growth of DFS & eSports across the CEE region. The last panel focused on best practices in launching international brands in new cultural conditions and how can these brands resonate with local audiences.
